This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My library services 500 students in both regular and bilingual classes. They love reading, coding, adventure, and learning. Whether it's through recommending them their next favorite book, teaching them a new robot move, or the excitement of a new invention, I try to make the library a sanctuary of exploration and inspiration.
Our students are curious and energetic young minds looking for opportunities to be readers, creators, and inventors.
Our elementary school is one of the largest elementary schools in our school district. We are a Title I school and over half of our students come from low-income homes, which means they often don't have the opportunities and resources available to higher-income families.
My Project
Please help provide my ESE students with three Osmo bases (which will get us to a complete classroom set) as well as 6 additional learning games. Students love becoming a pizza shop owner and calculating change, tips and the financial side of running a business (great math applications). Additionally Osmo Detective takes students all over the world through mapping activities where they learn about countries like Brazil, Egypt, Australia, the world map and more.
Osmos are interactive and make learning fun!
We have 13 bases already and need the three extra for a full set. We also only have a copy of each game and often an entire class who wants to use them. These extra 6 copies will allow us to expand our reach. Thank you so much for your consideration!
