Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Middle school students are a different breed! They are bright, funny, inspiring, emotional, intense, energetic, and extremely talented. In the midst of discovering who they will become as they continue to grow, they are learning and developing new skills and talents. One place where middle schooler students shine is sports!

Sports create an outlet for students to be active, to learn about working together, and to celebrate one another.

Middle school can be a stressful place. By allowing students to participate in sports, we are giving them a chance to excel at what they enjoy, a chance to be a kid and a chance to represent the school in a positive, fun way.

Baseball and softball have long been sports that children love to play. Our school has both sports and we have very talented students on both teams. As coaches, it is our job to not only strengthen the skills in that particular sport, but to encourage and support students along the way. We are very proud of our students and our teams and we hope to be able to focus on the specific skills with the purchase of pitching machines.

My Project

By donating to this project, you will ensure that we are able to optimize our practice time. A pitching machine will allow some of the team to practice batting while the rest practice other fundamental skills necessary for baseball and softball. By using these machines, pitchers will have time to work on strengthening their skills as well. These machines will simply allow us to use our time during practice wisely and make sure everyone is practicing the skills they need to be successful.

We are requesting one pitching machine for each team: baseball and softball.

These machines will ensure that our kids are well-rounded players who not only know how to play when they're in the outfield on defense, but also how to play well when we are batting. We are so excited about this possible opportunity to become even stronger baseball and softball teams!
