My students need a printer/scanner to be able to share their original artwork with other students all over the world.

Help us travel and meet new people without leaving the Art classroom. Many of my students are not able to travel with a scanner/printer they can share their artwork with students around the world and will be able to use their artwork in graphic design.
Our school is Urban/Suburban school.
With our school focusing on the state tests, the art takes a back seat to other subjects. But in the last few years we have been taking steps to help our students become more involved in the Arts which has seemed to help them with skills when taking the state tests. My students want to learn and will ask questions and challenge me to push them farther. We have a small art library in our department but having a printer in our room would help them explore other avenues of art.
My students need to expand what, who and where in the world, by having a scanner/printer we can do this. Students are proud what they have done in art, so we will be posting their work not only on our website for the community to see, but on student art websites where they can get feedback. In the past few years I have contacted other art teachers that teach in a different demographic setting to work on a joint project with my students. The students will send postcards to each other without using words, just with art depicting who they are and where they are from. If possible I would like the students to meet for a social at the end of the project. The students would need to scan and print their postcards so that we have a journal of what the students sent and what they received.
This project will help the students learn about other areas not only in their own area, state, or country, but also around the world.
I have experienced first hand that many of our students are afraid to venture out of the area when choosing a college because they are scared of what is out there and will the people they meet accept them. Maybe by meeting other students even just Ondine it won't be frightening.
