This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A dedicated space ensures that girls can work and play in an environment free from harassment and discrimination. Although our coding and gamer group is inclusive, our young ladies wanted to produce a positive female experience to help in tech, which can lead to long-term interest and career aspirations.

Ensuring that girls have their own space means they have equal access to the resources and equipment needed to develop their skills.

It allows for tailored programs and activities that address the unique challenges and interests of girls in tech. By creating visible and active spaces for girls in tech, we challenge the stereotypes and norms that suggest tech is a male-only field. Encouraging more girls to enter and stay in tech promotes diversity, which leads to more innovative and inclusive solutions. Providing a supportive environment today helps cultivate the tech leaders of tomorrow, who will bring diverse perspectives and drive progress in the industry. Encouraging girls to pursue careers in tech can lead to greater economic opportunities and empowerment for women.
