My Students

Remote learning has been difficult for our students and their families. They are typically hands-on learners who require a multi-sensory approach to learning.

Our students have severe and multiple disabilities in an economically disadvantaged area.

Having students in school as well as remotely has been such a learning curve. We share the same attitude as our students "WE CAN DO THIS".

My Project

Our students live up in the mountains. On cold winter days, we like to stay busy. They need games that we can play indoors. Ping Pong and Shuffleboard not only teach them how to interact with their peers, but it help with fine motor skills as well. It's so important to keep our students moving. Especially for the ones with ASD or other debilitating disabilities. We teach them skills from how to take turns to counting and adding your scores. This project has so much more to offer our students.
