Ping Pong Tables Needed for Growing High School Community

Help me give my students improved well-being with premium ping-pong tables, fostering improved eye-hand coordination, decision-making, and community. Elevate physical and mental capability through the engaging practice ping-pong provides for approximately 900 students in the k-12 building.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A group of teachers started a ping pong club in September of 2023 that meets two days a week for our 9th-12th grade students. Since the new year, our attendance has grown to over 20 kids a session. Some kids want to join, but due to lack of tables and space, are unable to play. With only three tables in a small conference room, we are unable to accommodate more kids. Adding more tables will allow for the club to grow.

Our goals include to open the club to 5 days a week after school in the cafeteria, extend opportunities to the K-8 elementary school that share our building, and establish relationships with other schools for friendly competitions.
