Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love my students' curiosity, creativity, and determination to learn in their own unique ways. Recently, we completed a 500-piece Ninja Turtle puzzle, and the students were thrilled with the challenge! They loved the sense of accomplishment it brought, and now they’re eager to take on another challenge—this time with Disney-related characters.
Adding puzzles like this will continue to foster their problem-solving, focus, and perseverance while keeping them engaged with familiar and exciting characters.
In addition to the puzzles, I plan to incorporate other resources like wobble cushions for group work, magnetic blocks, and a solar system puzzle. The cushions will create a comfortable and inclusive space for students to collaborate, helping to build social skills and teamwork. The carpet will also provide extra space for comfort and creativity where the students can feel safe and welcome for creativity. The magnetic blocks will offer opportunities for creativity and engineering exploration, and the solar system puzzle will integrate science learning in a fun, interactive way. These materials will provide a balanced mix of hands-on learning, brain breaks, and collaborative activities that will help my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
