Pictures are Essential!

My project needs 1 GBC HeatSeal H425 Laminator and 1 box of GBC Laminating Pouches, Pack Of 100.

For children with autism, pictures are worth more than a "thousand words." The children I teach are currently learning to use picture exchange communication within the classroom, a means of communication facilitated through pictures and printed materials. Because the children use these pictures throughout their days, the printed pictures need to be durable and reusable. Knowing the obstacles of minimal school budgets within my district, I have made great efforts to preserve the life of all the printed materials in my classroom. Unfortunately, contact paper only goes so far with children who are four, five, and six years old. They can be very rough with the materials! After continued daily usage of the pictures, contact paper does not hold up and often times I find myself re-printing pictures on a weekly basis. A laminating machine will prove priceless to the functionality of my room. I will be able to print and preserve pictures in one effort and spend more time on important academic planning for my children. Pictures are the ultimate facilitator of communication for children with autism; with a laminating machine, we will be communicating all year long within my classroom!!
