My students attend school in Washington, D.C. - our nation's capitol, but our nation's capitol is failing our students. Less than 60% of students graduated from high school in 2012. This has to change. As educators, we have to feed our students opportunities to grow and love learning. To do this, we have to start with our youngest learners. As a grade, we want to provide the best picture books possible to our three year olds, so we can get them curious and excited about reading.
