This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the best fifth grade class, full of curiosity, energy and love a of learning about all subjects. My students work best when they have choices that will help them feel comfortable in the classroom. When students are comfortable, they are more confident in sharing their thoughts and opinions. I like to find new and creative ways to help my students to focus on what they are learning without distractions. This means providing opportunities for students to use flexible seating to support freedom of choice and take charge of comforts they have to support them in their educational journey.

I enjoy providing students with choices, allowing them to self advocate a personal learning path, ultimately paving the way for success.

In fifth grade, student voice and student choice are such a crucial part of teaching my students about how they can make choices that will forever mold and shape their educational success.

My Project

Having flexible seating options for my students will help support learning within the classroom by supporting their ability to move freely while students focus on the tasks they are trying to accomplish.

Students sometimes need an outlet, allowing them to move in a less restrictive way to support a positive learning environment.

Flexible seating will allow for this opportunity to take place within my classroom and allow for each individual student to make choices that support their individual needs. Here is your chance to support my students while they make choices for success.
