A digital camera that records video would be a wonderful tool to capture my students creativity and document their learning. It would provide them with lasting memories of their first grade experience.
I teach first grade at a school for advanced studies in Southern California.
I have a fantastic, hard working group of students with a passion for learning and having fun. They deserve the very best and a camera that shoots video would definitely help enhance their time spent in first grade.
My Project
Your donation to help fund this project would be greatly appreciated as students feel a strong sense of pride and accomplishment when they see photos of their work and themselves posted in the classroom. I realized the need for a classroom camera during our school's holiday performance. Imagine how adorable a group of six year-olds are singing and dancing to "Jingle Bell Rock". They would have been excited to have had pictures posted of themselves performing.
Unfortunately, I have missed out on capturing many amazing things that my first graders have already done this year, but look forward to what's in store for the rest of the school year, such as Read Across America, awards assemblies, performances, theater, field trips, and more.
