My Students

I work with a wonderful group of 20 kindergartners. They love to learn. Most of my children are in a learning environment for the first time ever. Also, unfortunately, many of my students live in very low income areas and all of them receive free lunch.

Photos inspire and excite my young students.

When my children see themselves in a photo, they become energized and excited about the writing project. Since their educational background is so limited, reading and writing are very challenging subjects. I have already spent a significant amount of money on my classroom, therefore I need to look for outside funds to keep this project going.

My Project

I want to incorporate photos into writing, science and reading. My wish is to make books with my students using photos. They will not only be excited to write a sentence to go with their photo, they will be thrilled to read the books that we will make all year long. At the end of the year, I will make a collection of each students' work and turn that into a memory book. These photos will make their kindergarten memories last a lifetime!

Please help me inspire my students by helping to fund this project.
