This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Picture a class where all students have equal access to the curriculum. You can help my students achieve this by helping them build their English vocabulary. My school is in one of the most densely populated and lowest socio-economic areas of California. My students are English Language Learners.
My kindergartners are extremely visual learners.
They rely on pictures to learn new words and gain an understanding of concepts. I need tools to aid me in better being able to facilitate learning to my students, so that they may have access to the state curriculum.
My Project
My students and I need a digital camera to help develop, expand and learn English vocabulary. This technology will enhance learning by providing visual cues and making English concepts more comprehensible. Pictures will help make English vocabulary development fun and easy!
Your generous donation will not only bring technology to our classroom, but it will also make it possible for my students to learn English, gain access to the state curriculum, and be successful and happy students!
