Picture This - Cameras for Students to Capture Digital Images

Help me give my students the opportunity to step outside the classroom to capture their own images to add as content to their digital projects.

My Project

COVID has impacted students academically and their social-emotional well-being. Opening the doors beyond images available on the internet will create personal relevance to the content they create. Too often, there are not culturally appropriate images. Imagine being a Pacific Islander looking for an image that represents family or friends. Without the reliance on personal cell phones (not a luxury to all students), having classroom cameras will allow for all students to have access to creating their digital content.

The cameras will enable students to step away from their computers to capture digital images and content for their projects.

From creating autobiographies and blogs to (re)designing the school website, their creativity can grow with the ability to create and capture their own images and digital content in and outside the classroom.
