Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher, I strive to create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive environment for my students. Each of the items I’ve requested plays a key role in fostering a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.

The four colorful, comfy floor seats will be used daily in our classroom library; they will provide back support, helping students focus better and improve their reading comprehension.

The markers, white construction paper, and colored pencils will be used for group projects and student-created posters, particularly during our units of study.

I’ve also included some science and history comic books to spark students’ curiosity through engaging nonfiction texts.

Lastly, I included birthday rubber bracelets and scented bookmarks to celebrate students on their special day, while also promoting a love of reading.
