My Students

Our Norfolk, Virginia PreK students are amazing and resilient! We are located in a dedicated military town. All students have risk factors that qualify them for our program. I see the sparkle in their eyes when they login to the computer. Distance teaching is challenging, but with hands-on materials, we can help them thrive!

My Project

Our Pre-K students loved drawing and painting when we were totally distance teaching. They want to continue this activity with our hybrid classroom. This is something that students at home and the students in the classroom can do together successfully. First we outline our drawing with a black permanent marker. Then we color the inside with tempra paint sticks. Our students love this activity so much, we have nearly depleted our supplies. Of course we always title our pictures and sign our names. This supports our writing efforts too.

Black permanent markers, white construction paper, and tempra paint sticks will replenish our supply to make more Picture Perfect Art!

It is amazing to see our youngest learners get so creative and more importantly feel proud of themselves and their art creations!
