This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am so proud of my ceramics students! They bring creativity, determination, and a passion for learning to the classroom every day. Working with clay has been an incredible outlet for them—not just creatively but emotionally as well. This hands-on art form provides a unique space for students to express themselves, manage stress, and feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work, improving their overall mental health.

To support them further, I’m requesting a professional photo station with a backdrop, tripods, props, risers, and organized storage.

Here’s how each item will make a difference:

--Backdrop and Tripods: These will allow students to take high-quality photos of their ceramics, letting them document their hard work and reflect on the progress they’ve made. This process promotes self-esteem and reinforces the value of their effort and dedication.

--Props and Risers: Using these tools to arrange and present their work teaches students how to showcase their pieces meaningfully. This builds confidence and helps them practice expressing their stories and emotions through their displays.

--Storage: Organized storage will keep all photo station materials safe and ready for easy use, ensuring students can access them whenever needed.

My goal is for each student to document their artistic journey in a way that celebrates their personal growth and creativity. By providing them with a photo station, we’re also giving them the tools to see their progress over time, which is essential for their social-emotional learning. These images allow them to recognize their unique strengths, cultivate resilience, and feel empowered to share their art with family, friends, and the broader community. Thank you for supporting this particular project and helping our students grow!
