This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Included among this list of 35 books are the Washington Children's Choice Picture Books. Each year we read this list of Picture Books nominated by the Washington Library Association. We always look forward to seeing what books we will focus on each year, and the list was just released by WLA today.
In the spring after we have read all the books in our library our students choose their favorite by voting.
This is for many students the first time ever to vote on something. Our students are always excited to pick their favorite and tell their friends which one they voted for.
