My Students

My students are bright, hard-working, and fun preschoolers! They are learning new things every day and are determined to share their knowledge and passions.

Our students receive intensive supports.

Each student has been diagnosed as having autism; our focus is on collaborating with the students, families, and their developmental preschool teachers to ensure they are receiving the best supports to continue learning and growing.

Students have their own individualized goals that include pre-academics and fine motor, sharing and engaging with others, increasing their verbal communication, and initiating or requesting what they want. We love to hear our students' voices as they increase their independence!

I feel quite fortunate to have a job that I am passionate about, and my students are the reason! It is my goal each day to ensure that they have access to a diverse range of materials and opportunities to help them thrive!

My Project

Our students are working so hard in the classroom and at home. We know that using visuals is most beneficial for processing and learning. These picture cards will help us provide activities and visuals to practice that are also fun!

One of our main areas of focus is exposing students to new vocabulary as they increase their verbal output or use adaptive technology (iPads) for speech.

We would love to have a photo library to utilize in the classroom and with online learning. What I love most about these sets is that we can help students categorize different vocabulary like colors, animals, etc. This leads to some fun games making sounds, sorting, and helping them access their adaptive technology (iPads) to increase their ability to identify, question, respond, and engage with teachers and families.
