Picture Books of Learning

My students need a digital camera to take pictures of learning experiences and a color printer to make class books that will highlight what they are learning.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Massey's classroom raised $589

This project is fully funded

My Students

There are 15 students in my class who represent several different cultures. Three of the students have already been identified as having a special need which does not keep them from interacting with their peers and learning new skills and information.

The students in my class benefit from a variety of concrete learning experiences and opportunities.

My students are bilingual which makes it easier for them to talk with classmates who are native English speakers. This also allows them to be able to understand the class rules and routines and follow teacher directions.

My Project

Hands-on experiences are essential to learning for young children. My students will be able to take pictures of activities related to studies that are a part of our curriculum.

The pictures will be used to create books that can be shared with classmates as well as family members during our Celebrations.

These class books will be very meaningful because the students will be choosing what they would like to take pictures of and they will decide what type of book they want to make. Words may be added along with the pictures.

The picture books will be added to our class library. They may be sent home to share with families that are not able to come into the classroom. Student created books will also help English Language Learners share their knowledge visually as they learn the appropriate vocabulary that will allow them to verbally express their knowledge.
