Help me give my students the adventure into picture books. Let me show them that pictures aren't just for preschoolers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My third-grade students walk into the classroom every day excited to learn and ready for the challenges each school day brings. We are a Title I school, where most students are on free lunches and in need of basic supplies for school. However, these challenges don't stop my students from their thirst for knowledge and determination in the classroom. They are hardworking students that are driven by the expectation to succeed and strive for excellence inside and outside our classroom.
My Project
Each day, I read aloud a picture book to my class and post a picture of the book cover on a bulletin board titled #180 Days of Picture Books. We began the school year virtually, I still read a picture book daily on Zoom and then print out the book cover to add to our bulletin board when we return to in-person instruction. I need to add books to my collection of picture books that will not only inform my students about different cultures but also help my students understand social justice.
