Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For many of our kindergarten students, this is their first experience being away from home and from their parents for 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. They enter our classrooms with an undeniable thirst for knowledge, searching for a community to support them in their quest for new knowledge. They are eager to learn, their minds ready to soak up every bit of information possible. As teachers, we have a responsibility to ensure their continued passion and excitement for learning. We owe it to them to give them every resource possible to reach their full learning potential.
My Project
At GSA we firmly believe students learn best when given a variety of seating options. Our kindergarten classrooms are now equipped with many seating options, thanks to our generous donors, and now we would like to provide outdoor seating for our students.
Large picnic tables will provide our students with the opportunity to work on STEM projects and read while enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, both of which are scientifically proven to boost creativity, productivity, and mood.
Our kindergarten students will enjoy working on a variety of assignments and hands-on projects out back on our picnic tables.
