My Project
Arts and music are often overlooked as we strive to continually test and drill our students. But it has been proven that a solid education in music and the arts is just as important as the core academic subjects.
Our students need a musical outlet after school.
Many are talented singers, performers, and musicians who do not have the opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities. The Rock Band has become very popular, but our instruments are generally second-hand donations. These instruments are having electronics issues and need repair. Two sets of pickups will bring back to life two old electric guitars. This is an inexpensive way for students to have more than one new guitar. Students will practice for performances, jam, and simply rock out. Music must be an important part of their academic curriculum.
Music is an important part of learning and growing. A big part of being in high school are the Town Halls and rallies where the school rock bands can entertain and bring out school spirit. Music is one of the most important aspects of a teenager's life. Having two sets of pickups will bring back two electric guitars for our school music concerts, and will make a huge difference in the quality of music which our bands can produce. Concerts will be more explosive and enjoyable.
