This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at our high school have asked me to be the advisor for a new Pickleball Club! In order to play on campus, we need to purchase a second pickleball net and some pickleballs.
We will meet weekly to play Pickleball and teach new students the sport while fostering community and well-being.
We hope you can help support this new venture for our school. In addition to teaching basics and having fun, we'll be learning tactical approaches, strategy, and technique. Pickleball is particularly well-suited for our school, with grades 6-12, because the sport lends itself to leveling differences in height, strength, and speed.
