Help me give my students a new, fun, and awesome sport! Pickleball is the new CRAZE! Kids will love it! By providing us with pickle nets, paddles, and balls we can move and groove!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am the reading teacher at our school, and I am hooked on 'pickling!' I shared stories about pickleball at a Literacy Night and now everyone wants to try it! Pickleball will be used in before and after school programs, and the PE team will introduce this fun sport during gym time. The equipment will be utilized with our community throughout the day!
Students, ages 5-10 will get to experience the fun involved in playing pickleball.
It is a social sport that ANYONE can play. They will learn the vocabulary...kitchen, lob, dink, serve. Students will learn how to score and rotate in and out of games.
This activity builds communication, releases tension, helps us to be active, and releases some extra energy to improve mental health!
