My Students

High school is a crucial time for young adults to discover their likes and dislikes. Some will flourish with athletics and others will thrive in math and science classes. The students in my music classes prosper and grow every day because they have the opportunity to experience music in multiple ways.

There is an emotional draw to music that other classes don't even come close to matching.

Music is a special subject. I believe if students are actively engaged in the how and the why of music, this world would be a better place.

My students are hard workers and know that the bar is set high when they are in my classroom. I want their experiences to be the greatest that they can be and I want them to be provided with the resources they need to achieve excellence.

My Project

We are in dire need of a replacement baby grand piano cover for the piano in the choir room There are many rips and tears in our present piano cover that makes it looks very unattractive. It also doesn't do as good of a job protecting the piano as it once did when the cover was new. We are also in need of one more piece for our spring concert repertoire to be complete. I performed this very arrangement of Bridge Over Troubled Water when I was in school and I want to pass down to my students the same great and rewarding experiences that I had down to them.

The classroom my students learn in, as well as the materials in it, should reflect the quality of our program.

With a new piano cover, our piano will look just as nice as it sounds. With this new music, each student will have their own copy to mark up for our upcoming spring concert. We are growing our choral program piece by piece. Every little bit counts!!
