This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Pi Day allows students to foster a love for math through hands-on activities, lessons, and challenges. With this event, our school can engage students in a collaborative celebration of mathematics and creativity. My plan is to create a memorable event that ties math concepts to real-world applications in an engaging and inspiring way. Students will participate in several events for Pi Day. Students will complete a hands-on activity measuring real objects and calculating their areas/circumferences. They will also be in a contest to memorizing as many digits of Pi as their group can memorize, then complete a graph of a skyline that represents each digit of Pi. All Items will be used to celebrate Pi day as well as a goodie bag for the Birthday of Albert Einstein.
