Physics Experiments Are the Way to Learn!

Help me give my students key physics experiments materials. The spectrum tubes help explore the dual nature of light. The dynamics system and fan carts help students gather data that illustrates Newton's Laws in multiple experiments.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic and curious and every year tell me that what they enjoy most in physics class is learning by doing. We emphasize doing science, not just learning about science.

This Donors Choose project includes a spectrum set that will allow us to explore the wave/particle dual nature of light with hands on experiments.

This is done in combination with online simulators that help students break down what they are observing in real life. The dynamics track and cart allows students to capture accurate experimental data in kinematics and dynamics. In conjunction with the fan carts, students can explore Newton's Laws in a series of sequential experiments that lock in their understanding through hands on experiments.
