Help me give my students physical sports equipment and mental health supplies to help provide support as needed. This includes yoga ball chairs, watercolors, ear buds, and more.
The flexible seating will offer students opportunities to learn in a different physical environment. Student seating choice often provokes higher participation and understanding.
Having adequate Physical and Mental Health supports in place for all students enhances academic learning in so many different ways.
Our classroom will have a 'Cozy Corner' geared toward supporting mental health strategies. Physical equipment can be used as needed whether it needs to be used in the classroom, hallway, or taken out into the school yard.
Bulletin Boards will also be dedicated to help show the designated space for students to take a breath and release tension or anxiety. The sports equipment can offer a physical release as well to any high-anxiety moments or events.
