My Students

We are a larger rural community in Maine. We have a vast array of students coming from various backgrounds. A lot of our students come from families with low incomes. They are all wonderfully devoted to being safe, respectful and responsible students in our school as well as our community.

The students at our school are very fortunate to have Physical Education twice a week.

I am able to work with an amazingly diverse group of students with higher and lower level skills. They give 100% of their effort day in a day out.

My Project

Technology use has become a standard for our daily lives. Our Physical Education program at Greene Central School is in need of four tablets for individual and group student use. Our students would highly benefit from using these devices. There are many Apps that directly relate to Physical Education.

By donating to our project you would be helping our students take control of their personal goal setting, fitness outcomes and ability to comprehend subject matter.

As a class, our students would use apps such as Fitness Free to obtain cardiovascular and muscular strength health goals. They will also use our tablets for personal assessment using the camera and video tools to watch and critique their movements. Another way they will utilize our Samsung Fire tablets is through direct instruction using QR codes linked to videos for learning and progressing. This is just to name a few.

I would sincerely like to thank you for your thought and consideration. We appreciate any contribution you are able to make to help our students become electronically savvy in Physical Education!
