My Project
As a physical education teacher, it is challenging to incorporate technology into my classes as a typical laptop is bulky and requires the user to be sitting in a desk. Because of how easy an iPad can be use portably, this allows my department to easily incorporate this type of technology into my daily lessons.
Only having 1 iPad is a struggle with 50 students in one class.
My goal for this project is to expand the amount of students being able to use the iPad during the time the iPad is being used. In a class of 50, there is no way each student is able to use the iPad. Even if the class was 50 minutes long, each student would only have 1 minute to use the iPad. My goal is to eventually have enough iPads so that when I use breakout sessions of groups, each group can work together on the iPad and share within their group.
The students at my school are special in many ways. They are dedicated to showing up and giving it their best. Most students enjoying coming to my class, even though they might not be the fittest. The students at my school come from all different backgrounds, yet my classroom puts any differences aside as everyone in the gym in having fun competing in the different activities each day.
