This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love my students! They make me feel like a superstar as I walk down the hall and say "Ms. Roberson, when am I coming to your class?" and "Ms. Roberson, I love you!" My students have so much personality, that I never know what the day will bring.
I teach students in a urban area.
I understand some of my students may not have anywhere safe to play when the school day ends, or they may not have a home with a yard. I also understand that some of my students may not have nutritious meals. I teach the students how to lead daily healthy lifestyles and why being active is so important.
My Project
Field day is an end of the year school event that shows the importance of active play and being outside. It is so important to get the students motivated to get up and move and to engage in active moderate to vigorous activities every day.
The students will be engaged all day in different physical activities and I'm sure they wont forget this day!
My students need additional physical education equipment and materials for our PE classes and for field day. The students will be very excited to receive their new physical education equipment and I know with new PE equipment our field day will be successful.
