My Students
I work at a charter school in North Salt Lake teaching Physical Education, Health, and Yearbook. A lot of our students through no fault of their own suffer from behavior and learning disorders under many different diagnoses. Despite that, they try very hard to improve their station in life and to learn coping skills that will allow them to adapt to society as best as they possibly can. They are very unique. They are also, for the most part, caring and loving individuals.
My Project
This year as a school we are working on being more inclusive of all students in Physical Education which includes those with lower physical abilities so that everyone can be involved. While doing this we are going to need more equipment that is adaptive for all of the students taking part in Physical Education. I am going to be teaching a number of different sports skills using all kinds of equipment that we get from this project. They will be learning skills from sports like basketball, soccer, etc.
With your help, we can make this happen for my students.
I know that the students are going to love being able to have all of this equipment that will make it so that everyone can take an active part in the class.
