Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are hands-on learners who like to experience new learning with physical activities and opportunities to collaborate with others. Many of my students have limited opportunities to engage with real-world, tangible experiences that can connect them to potential careers in the future and general life skills.
This is the moment to help them learn about physical art, mechanics, and the different ways that they can create tangible, long-lasting items in the world.
Help me give my students 3D puzzles, STEM models, and modeling clay that will connect them to mechanical and physical art through hands-on building and creating experiences. Each of these items will help students build an understanding of the importance of working with their hands. The STEM models will help them work with mechanical components, the 3D puzzles will help them understand visual arts and how their choices come together to create something tangible, and finally, the modeling clay will help them create art with their hands. Each activity will help them explore future career possibilities while having fun and building community!
