Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year my students will be doing lots of projects. We will use photos to document our work and to illustrate our school’s successes visually to all! My class is going to be the same as last year. We are going to make a class record of accomplishments and students will make their own pages.
Being able to provide a student with a photo documenting a particular moment will help the student recall and allow for deeper reflection and learning.
Having a photo to document learning would also support communication between students and their families. Our families are sometimes not on the internet - it’s not something we assume.
My students want to make their voices heard. Photos amplify words. Students will use photos they take to strengthen their opinion writing.
