My Students

I teach art to 600 students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. My school is a small public Charter school in Delaware. We pride ourselves on arts and academics. Our students are artists, dancers, singers, and musicians.

My students are gifted, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are passionate and eager to immerse themselves in the arts and technology.

I get to watch my students learn, develop, and grow into well rounded individuals ready for the high school world. My students are why I teach.

My Project

COVID has forced us into a fully digital and newly virtual world. My students that have little to no access to technology have become at a disadvantage to learning, especially in art.

My 6th through 8th grade students yearn to learn about photography, but do not have the access due to the pandemic.

Help me bring technology to them through the use of my Cannon Digital Photography project. My students will learn how to capture images through light. With the use of these Cannon cameras my students will have the tools and technology to create their digital photos while at home.
