This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a small town Pre-K Center and consist of many low income families. We are a charter school, that each classroom consists of 22 students. Each student is excited to attend school and begin their learning journey.
The students are Pre-K'ers from a military town.
They are rambunctious and funny. They are ready to explore the world and begin their journey to an excellent education. They take pride in their efforts and are always so excited to learn something new.
My Project
We are going to have a photographer of the day in the classroom. Students will be able to take pictures throughout the day. This will allow the teacher to see the perspective of the students, and collect work that a teacher may not see at the time.
If I am working or discussing something with a student over at the dramatic center, but "Billy" built a house out of blocks, "Sarah" can take a picture of it and I can view it later.
It is a great way for students to interact during the day, and show me what they see and know.
