This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All over the world, educators realized that students enjoy studying and increase their scores when they are truly engaged in their learning. This doesn't happen when young children are mandated to sit at their desk for hours filling up worksheets. Give them cameras, let them investigate and report!

Usually African American students make up 70% of my class; the rest includes a rich diversity of cultures such as Latino and Asian.

Since we are a Social Justice Magnet School we are teaching respect, tolerance, appreciation, and teamwork. Our students are aware of the issues awaiting them and they are getting ready! Unfortunately, my school is a Title I LAUSD with minimum funding and most of our parents can't afford donations.

My Project

Thanks to your kind donation, students would receive two digital cameras and be able to complete projects that require the child to be actively involved; they would develop their personality, independence, and critical skills. Students love this type of work because they feel in control. Reading, writing, and speaking would improve just because the child is motivated!

I want to thank you in advance for your generous contribution.
