Help me give my students the opportunity to put their phonological awareness skills to play with Osmo! This technology device has helped many students in the application of their skills while engaging them.
My students are from a small town in rural PA. Many of my students come from low income households. My class is made up of 5 boys and 12 girls that love coming into school everyday! When they walk into our classroom they light up the room. They are the happiest and kindest group of kids I have ever met! These students LOVE to learn and explore new things! I know they would be extremely great full for your contribution to their learning adventure!
My Project
Osmo is a technology device that I saw while at a training for STEM. At first it seemed to me that it was an ordinary tech device that didn’t stand out to me very much as helping my students. Once I started engaging in it and actually using it myself, my perspective on that changed. I quickly noticed it will engage students, improve their phonological skills and helps students with the application of these skills.
Osmo is an engaging and positive phonological awareness device.
This will allow me to have an independent center during my reading rotations. I want to give my students this opportunity because when they transition to first grade they are needed to do these skills on their own. Osmo will allow me to have that independent center and also allow students to become more independent.
