This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The IMSE Phonological Awareness Course is a hands-on, interactive, and personalized class that provides educators with a deeper understanding of phonological awareness and its importance in learning to read. After participating in this training, I will understand how to assess and teach phonological awareness to students in all three tiers of RTI.
In addition, I will evaluate students in alphabet awareness, including letter recognition and sound recognition.
This course will help me get back to teaching reading as this year I have been teaching math, science and social studies. This would be a wonderful opportunity to refresh my traning.
