Help me give my students phonics activities from Orton Gillingham Phonics workbook, phonics card games called the Bambino Tree, sensory popper letter boards, stickers for rewards, and dot spots for when working in groups on the carpets.
My class is in need of phonics resources. I want the students to feel engaged when working on their phonics skills. I thought the Orton-Gillingham workbook with game activities would be helpful for my classroom along with the pop-it letter boards. I thought kids would have fun creating words and popping letters to make words. I also liked the idea of card phonics games as kids always enjoy playing games. I also liked the idea of having different stickers for the kids to choose from so they could create stories and use them as rewards for doing well in reading. I also asked for spot dots which I can place on the floor to help create reading groups. The spots would help to organize groups while working on the floor.
The goal of this project is to help students have new resources that will make learning engaging.
My students are a diverse group of learners that love working with their hands. They will enjoy the pop-its, phonics card game, and be highly engaged with their phonics through the practice skills. They love learning on the carpet and so these activities will keep them highly engaged.
