Phonics Materials

Help me give my students materials such as Mastering Phonics Games Library and Word family flip books to helps students learn, practice and master phonics skills that will help them to be more fluent readers.

My Students

I have twenty-one third graders in my class. They are great kids. It is so fun to see them get excited about learning and excited about school. They love coming to school and have commented how fun it is to be here.

They work really hard together to be their best.

They sit in tables and groups as to help each other learn and grow. They love to discuss what we are learning about and tell stories about how it applies in their life. They are great kids and deserve the best!

My Project

These materials will help my students improve their phonics skills that will result in better readers. I will use the flip books and vowel cards as a teacher to teach and practice phonics skills individually or in small groups. Students will work together by playing games in the Mastering Phonics Games Library in a fun and engaging way to practice phonics.

Studies have shown that If students don't master reading/phonics in 3rd grade, it is harder to gain these skills later.

These materials will help me to address any holes that my students have in their phonemic awareness and help students practice their phonics skills and this will help them all to become more skilled and confident readers.
