These materials will help my students improve their phonics skills that will result in better readers. I will use the flip books and vowel cards as a teacher to teach and practice phonics skills individually or in small groups. Students will work together by playing games in the Mastering Phonics Games Library in a fun and engaging way to practice phonics. Studies have shown that If students don't master reading/phonics in 3rd grade, it is harder to gain these skills later. These materials will help me to address any holes that my students have in their phonemic awareness and help students practice their phonics skills and this will help them all to become more skilled and confident readers.
