This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a great group of first graders that need some hands on materials to help them with their reading and spelling. We work on phonics skills for a major part of our reading time. These magnet letters and boards with help students to all be able to have a have hands on materials that will help them to build and create words as we learn new sounds.
Students will use the magnets and boards to practice making words with their phonics skill of the week.
These hands on materials will allow them to move and manipulate sounds and letters to build and create new words with the skills we are working on. They will provide a fun way for students to be engaged with their learning.
