My Project
My students are a beautifully diverse group of children who love to learn about the world around them. As beginning readers, they are developing their oral language and love to talk about what they are reading. Through read alouds and shared writing, my students are developing key skills that will support their reading. In addition, these students need decodable texts to keep in their book boxes in order to practice new skills they are taught each day.
These decodable books serve as a key component for students to apply their knowledge of explicit phonics instruction.
Having many sets available ensures that all students are taking a step towards becoming more fluent readers.
