This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with energetic students who are eager to learn new things. All my students come from the inner city and come with little to no school supplies to meet their basic needs because their family simply can not afford to buy them. I have many students that are English language learners and I need additional ways to support their learning of English in the classroom! My students have a wide range of literacy needs and having additional materials will allow me to provide better instruction!

My Project

The materials that I picked out for this project will help me implement the phonics program I am currently using call "Fundations", however I only have the teachers kit. Therefore, I have to modify the program to fit the needs of my students. The materials in this project will help me do that better.

The Write & Wipe Mini boards, journals, CVC words, and sight word puzzles are vital to providing my students with the best possible instruction!

The materials will allow the students to practice the skills I am teaching them in whole group instruction. The materials will also help me differentiate and provide intervention to those students that need it.
