Learning phonics can be very difficult and embarrassing for older students. It can be incredibly hard to get them to buy in fully to phonics instruction for them to make the gains they need to be fluent readers.
Help me acquire phonics games and materials to show my middle schoolers that learning phonics is fun and worthwhile, and that they shouldn't be embarrassed!
I have a class of emerging readers who are in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. We are working on closing the significant gaps in their reading education and building phonics skills in a fun, and age appropriate way.
