My Students

I have a class of 28 third graders in a large urban area. In third grade, we learn many new math, science, and social studies concepts, and we continue to improve our reading comprehension and fluency. My students work hard, and they are eager and excited to explore, discover, and learn.

To help my students to the best of my ability, I would like to ensure that all students have the necessary supplies to succeed in class.

When the students are equipped with the proper supplies, they are more excited about their learning and more engaged in class.

My Project

Reading is one of the most important things students learn when they come to school, but it can be one of the hardest things to learn.

Phonics and Phonemic Awareness are the foundation of fluent reading, and being able to read fluently and comprehend reading is something that all kids deserve to learn how to do.

These tools will help me to make sure that my students have the foundational skills they need in order to become the best readers that they can be, and so they can feel confident in their reading.
