My Students

Each day, I greet 18 excited, energetic, and eager Kindergartners into my classroom. These young scholars are curious learners who enjoy discovering new ideas in their world. They want to explore, ask questions, and test theories through play and structured learning times. Each child begins their academic journey with ideas and foundations that must be challenged and expanded through storytelling and story writing.

Together, we learn to read, make inferences, and strengthen comprehension skills!

My little learners are engaged and excited to use colorful centers that enhance their experience!

We continue our learning experience with math and science investigations. Using hands-on manipulatives and cooperative learning, students are able to discover and question the world around them.

My Project

Kindergarten students excel when given quality materials to use in carefully crafted learning spaces. The math and phonics centers requested in my project will be used to engage students and excite them about learning to read and count!

My students love to work cooperatively when learning a new skill or practicing an already learned concept.

These phonic centers provide opportunities for students so do just that! The centers will be used for students to practice independently and then to teach one another. Students who are thoughtfully engaged with their peers will be more likely to retain information learned through center learning time.
