Help me give my students a new camera and lenses for our yearbook photography.

My Project
Each year, as a school, we try to capture some of our best memories for our yearbook. Fifth graders apply and are chosen to assist with yearbook responsibilities. One of those responsibilities is taking pictures. We currently have a camera, however, it is older and only has one still lens (it does not zoom in or out). We have tried a project previously to find a new lens but had no success with getting a new lens that fits the old camera.
Not every student will love math or reading, but they may love coming to school to express themselves in another way.
Photography is a form of the visual arts, and I love to foster new skills that students can carry with them as they get older. We would love to have a new camera with lenses that the students can use to capture our memories from the school year.
